CARCOLORS of North Shore Ltd was founded in 1993 by Ken Smith former Sales Manager of ICI Autocolor. The company specialises in the importation, distribution and marketing of leading global brands to the trade and retail sectors of the car painting, panel beating, collision repair, marine, fleet, industrial and classic car markets throughout New Zealand.

Ken has 60 years’ experience working in the NZ and Australian automotive refinish market and he is supported by key staff who together have huge experience in the NZ market. The technical team alone can be proud of their 150 plus collective years trade experience. The sales and warehouse teams also have significant practical trade experience that can only be secured by working in the workshop environment through all facets of the auto refinishing trade.
As one of PPG’s first New Zealand based Platinum distributors, CARCOLORS staff have gained great experience and knowledge of their brand and products. To support the trade, we also stock leading consumable brands 3M, SEM, SATA, Mirka, FESTOOL, UPOL and CRC along with our own house brand INTHETRADE.
